well my character is homer a famoes poet from da 8th - 9th century B.C. he wrote dat story dat dey made us read in 9th grade da Odyssey he was well know for his story telling nd his poetry homer was a blind men. Some say he was born on the island of Chios while argue that he existed in Ionia. But the dialect and the description in the poems pointed that Homer lived in Ionia.Homer was the major figure of ancient Greek literature and the author of the earliest and finest epic poems, the iliad and the Odyssey.The ancient Greeks regarded Homer as divine and respected his work as a source of wisdom and model of heroic conduct.
